About the American
Basketball Association

The American Basketball Association (ABA) was re-established in 2000 as one of the most expansive professional basketball leagues in the United States. With hundreds of teams across the country, the ABA has become a critical developmental and professional platform for players who are serious about building a basketball career beyond college.

Unlike amateur or recreational leagues, the ABA operates under a full professional structure — official statistics, refereed game play, team standings, and player records that are maintained and recognized by the global basketball community. ABA stats and playing history are logged in international basketball databases, making them visible to scouts, agents, and team managers worldwide.

The ABA has earned a powerful reputation as the number one feeder league for international professional basketball. More ABA players are sent overseas for paid playing opportunities than virtually any other domestic league outside of the NBA and G League. Teams in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa actively recruit ABA alumni — because they know the competition is real and the stats are verifiable.

For an athlete who has not yet had the exposure or opportunity to go pro — or who wants a legitimate second chance — the ABA is the most powerful tool available.

A former standout collegiate athlete, Cam brings over 15 years of mentorship and coaching experience, working directly with Denver's at-risk youth. His leadership combines deep compassion with analytical precision — honed through a decade of professional experience in energy and sports media — to create equitable pathways for the next generation of athletes.

Eric brings over 25 years of recreation leadership to our team, with a singular focus on creating accessible, inclusive environments. A cornerstone of his career was his long tenure with Denver Parks and Recreation, where he designed programs to mentor under-resourced youth. As a specialist in event operations and athletic programming, Eric is driven by the conviction that every young athlete, regardless of their background, should have the platform and support needed to dream bigger and achieve more.

Marcus Murphy

A seasoned senior manager and military veteran with 30+ years of high-level business operations, procurement, and risk management experience, Marcus oversees our operational backbone. Beyond his logistical expertise — having supervised global operations and managed $18B in assets — he is a dedicated basketball coach with a deep commitment to the sport. Marcus has mentored hundreds of players to collegiate success, and both of his sons are current collegiate basketball players.
